What should we do?
It’s been reported to me by a fellow homeschooler the following:
My daughter was in the public school system through eighth grade, which is the end of middle school in this state. As a freshman in high school, she struggled so much and in so many different areas that my wife and I decided it would be best to homeschool her during high school. Well, long story made short, it worked out so well that she finished her high school career at home and has now been accepted to college! We are so glad we decided to homeschool her!!
I’ve heard these types of stories many times, so there is definitely a need in today’s world for homeschooling curricula as alternative to public or even private school. I know there is a need, but what about you? Any comments?

I believe there can be so many benefits of controlling when and how a child learns. I also have concerns for health because public areas expose children to necessary illness in order to build up strong immunities. My question is how do you deal with not only an education but also making sure everything else is at optimal levels? And so that these children don’t go off to college and become sick later on in life?
Hello, Eric!
Thanks for commenting on my blog. This is one of the areas of homeschooling that is not talked about much. You’re right in pointing out that children need to have interactions with other children in order to boost their immune systems. I believe that homeschooling doesn’t only occur in the home. It’s equally important to schedule outside activities so children can have interactions with other children. My daughter has done this and her daughters are involved with swimming lessons, ballet, and study groups.
